Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across our facilities. You will assess patients pre- and post-operatively, monitor vital signs and anesthesia-related parameters, and collaborate with physicians and teams to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Ideal candidates have an accredited nursing education, active state licensure, and 1 year of PreOp/PACU experience. ACLS/PALS as applicable, with BLS/BCLS certification, are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure to practice in good standing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• ACLS/PALS as applicable within specified timelines.
• BLS/BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and manage airway, hemodynamics, and pain.
• Develop and implement an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide safe medication administration and patient education.
• Transfer care and hand off reports to teammates as needed.
• Protect patient rights, dignity, and privacy and advocate for patients.
