Job summary

SCA Health is actively hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp PACU to support patient care across the perianesthesia continuum. You will assess preoperative and postoperative status, monitor cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological systems, and apply discharge criteria.

You will promote the mission and values of SCA Health, collaborate with anesthesia teams, and educate patients and families. A nursing degree and current licensure are required, with BLS/ACLS and PALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS if pediatric care is included.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and assess organ systems.
• Develop and implement an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide hand-off reports and patient/family education.

Education

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

Current state licensure to practice

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience
