Qualifications

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
Current state licensure to practice nursing.
Successful completion of BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment; ACLS within 90 days; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policy.
Interpret information from monitors.
Describe pathophysiology of disease processes and anesthesia physiology.
Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
Implement the plan of care including perioperative recovery and analgesia management.
Provide hand-off reports to teammates with concise, pertinent information.
Collaborate with other disciplines and participate in performance improvement.
