Job summary
SCA Health is actively hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across our facilities. You’ll assess patients before and after surgery, monitor vitals, manage pain, and collaborate with anesthesia teams to optimize recovery and safety.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
- One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
- Medical / surgical nursing experience.
- Current state licensure to practice.
- BLS or Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment.
- ACLS within 90 days of employment.
- PALS if pediatric care is included.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient's preoperative and postoperative status.
- Monitor vitals and airway management needs.
- Describe pathophysiology of diseases and anesthesia physiology.
- Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
- Administer medications safely following the eight rights.
- Provide hand-off reports to care teams.
- Educate patient and family about perioperative care and recovery.
