Job summary

SCA Health in the United States is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp and PACU to support perioperative care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate will assess patients preoperatively and in PACU, monitor vitals, manage pain and safety, and collaborates with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure smooth transitions and high-quality outcomes for patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status.
• Interpret information from monitors.
• Apply perianesthesia plan of care.
• Prepare for and manage patient recovery from anesthesia – various modalities.
• Provide pain and comfort management as needed.
• Perform all nursing duties with focus on safety, infection prevention, and patient advocacy.
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Education

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

Current state licensure to practice

BLS/BCLS certification

ACLS within 90 days of employment

PALS certification if pediatric care included
