Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in PreOp PACU to support our ambulatory surgical centers across the network. You will assess patients preoperatively and postoperatively, monitor vital systems, and implement perianesthesia care plans in collaboration with the care team.

This role requires an Accredited School of Nursing graduate with RN licensure, BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and ideally PACU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS/BCLS; ACLS; PALS if pediatric care required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policy and procedures.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology of diseases.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement the plan of care including recovery management and patient safety.
