Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the PreOp PACU role. You will assess patients pre- and post-operatively, interpret monitors, and develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.

The position emphasizes patient safety, effective communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration within a fast-paced ambulatory setting. Responsibilities include ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia, providing pain management, and delivering education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure to practice in good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification within 90 days if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policy.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement and manage recovery from anesthesia across modalities.
• Provide hand-off reports and educate patient/family.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

State licensure in good standing
