Job summary

SCA Health is hiring aRegistered Nurse (RN) in PreOp PACU to support perioperative care in our facilities. You will assess patients before and after anesthesia, implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and the nursing team to ensure safe recovery.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, active RN licensure, and 1 year of PreOp/PACU experience. ACLS/BLS certifications are required or obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice; BLS/BCLS within 90 days; ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission and values of SCA Health.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policies; monitor cardiovascular, respiratory and neurological systems.
• Interpret information from monitors and support perioperative decision-making.
• Develop and implement an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Administer medications safely using the 8-rights of safe medication administration.
• Provide hand-off reports and education to patient and family.
