Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for PreOp and PACU roles in the United States. You will assess patients before and after anesthesia, monitor vital signs, and support recovery in the perianesthesia continuum.

Responsibilities include planning individualized care, interpreting monitors, and ensuring safe medication administration. Requires RN licensure, BLS/ACLS (PALS if pediatric care is involved), and PACU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing with RN licensure.
• Minimum 1 year of PreOp or PACU experience preferred.
• Current BLS/BCLS, ACLS (and PALS if pediatric care is included).
• Ability to apply perioperative assessment tools and discharge criteria.

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policy, including cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurologic systems.
• Interpret monitors and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative period.
• Develop and implement an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide safe medication administration using the 8 rights and document care.
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams and transfer care when needed.
