Job summary

SCA Health in the United States is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across its facilities. You will assess preoperative and postoperative status, monitor patients, manage pain, and communicate care needs to the team.

Qualified candidates hold an Accredited Nursing degree, state licensure, and BLS/BCLS; ACLS (and PALS if pediatric care is required) within 90 days. This role requires on-site work in our care centers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure to practice.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and maintain hemodynamic stability.
• Develop and implement an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Administer medications safely and manage pain and comfort as needed.
• Provide hand-off reports and transfer care as required.
• Document care completely and maintain patient rights and privacy.
