Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU area. You will assess patients before and after surgery, monitor vital signs, and support anesthesia recovery, ensuring safe transitions through the perioperative continuum.

Qualifications include nursing degree from an accredited school, active state licensure, and relevant certifications. The role requires teamwork, communication, and adherence to facility policies to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice in good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification within 90 days of employment if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe underlying pathophysiology of disease processes.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care and implement it across recovery phases.
• Provide hand-off reports to teammates with concise, pertinent information.
• Perform all duties to ensure patient safety, pain management, and recovery from anesthesia.

Education

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
