Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU to support patient care before and after surgery across the perioperative continuum. You will assess patients, monitor vitals, manage pain, and coordinate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe recovery.

The role emphasizes clinical quality, teamwork and compassionate care, with adherence to safety protocols and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• BLS/BCLS completed within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS completed within 90 days of employment.
• PALS required when pediatric care is included within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Promote SCA Health mission, vision and values.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policy.
• Interpret monitors and manage patient condition per protocol.
• Develop individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Administer medications safely and monitor for adverse effects.
• Provide hand-off reports and collaborate with teams.
• Ensure infection control, safety and patient rights.
• Support discharge planning and patient education.
