Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp/PACU role at our on-site facility. You will assess patients preoperatively and postoperatively, monitor vital signs, and participate in perioperative care planning and hand-offs.

Requirements include nursing degree from an accredited program, active state licensure, and BLS/BCLS certification; ACLS within 90 days and PALS if pediatric care is involved. Join a patient-focused surgical team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification; ACLS within 90 days; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient preoperative and postoperative status per policy (cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, hemodynamic, pain).
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology of diseases.
• Develop and implement individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Prepare for and manage recovery from anesthesia across modalities (general, MAC, regional, local).
• Transfer care with accurate hand-offs and document appropriately.
