Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice nursing.
• ACLS, BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status according to policy.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology.
• Develop individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Deliver safe perioperative care and effective pain management.
