Job summary

Save-A-Lot is seeking a Meat Cutter to ensure the meat department meets company standards, drives sales and maintains profitability. You will trim and prepare standard cuts, maintain displays, and follow policies to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include cutting meat with knives and power tools, labeling and pricing, rotation of stock, and ensuring sanitation and safety daily in a temperature-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of Save‑A‑Lot Meat Cutter Training Program within 3 months.
• Experience cutting meat with hand tools and power equipment preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Cuts and/or packages beef, pork and poultry per company policies.
• Wraps, weighs and prices cuts of meat.
• Labels packages per COOL, USDA and Save‑A‑Lot standards.
• Maintains proper date rotation and merchandises displays to maximize sales.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat to maintain cold chain and quality.
• Complies with sanitation and safety standards daily.
