Job summary

Save A Lot is seeking a Meat Cutter to ensure the meat department operates to company standards, drive sales, and maximize profitability. You will trim and prepare standard cuts per the Meat Cutter Resource Manual, deliver excellent service, and maintain product displays to attract customers.

Responsibilities include leadership of the meat team, ordering, merchandising, training, and ensuring safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• One year of experience cutting meat using hand tools and equipment.
• Must read, write and speak English; Spanish a plus.
• Proficient in basic math and portion control.

Responsibilities

• Lead meat department to achieve and exceed metric goals.
• Manage product ordering, merchandising, productivity and shrink to meet goals.
• Coach and train others on meat tasks within the department.
• Set priorities and direct tasks within the meat department.
• Enforce meat policies and procedures within the store.
• Cut and package beef, pork and poultry with knives and power equipment.
