Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Save-A-Lot Meat Cutter Training Program within 3 months.
• Previous meat-cutting experience using hand tools and equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.
• Cuts and/or packages authorized meat items according to Save-A-Lot policies and procedures.
• Wraps, weighs and prices cuts of meat.
• Labels packages according to COOL, USDA and Save-A-Lot standards.
• Ensures displays and case signs are updated and meat is merchandised to maximize sales.
• Maintains proper date rotation and cold chain integrity.
