Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our retail team. You will cut, prepare, and display meat products, ensuring quality and freshness while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service to customers.

Responsibilities include merchandising, preventing spoilage, and supporting training for Meat Cutter Trainees. You must follow health and safety standards and participate in required trainings and shift schedules.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail meat experience.
• Successful completion of WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent.
• UK exceptions may apply.
• Adheres to health and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products.
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise.
• Checks product quality against standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors spoilage and freshness.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Arrives on time and adheres to trainings.
• Delivers courteous customer service and suggestive selling.
• Preps, stores, rotates, stocks, and merchandises products.
• Follows health and safety procedures.
• Maintains clean, sanitary work and shopping areas.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; reviews pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
