Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to perform cutting, preparation, display, and selling of meat products in a customer-focused retail environment. You will maintain quality, assist with slicing, and mentor trainee staff while upholding health and safety standards in a fast-paced store setting.

Responsibilities include preparing products, ensuring proper pricing, and providing exemplary service to customers.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.
• UK Exceptions may apply.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven-ready products, cured meats).
• Checks product to meet WFM quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors and assists in preventing spoilage.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Arrives on time, groomed and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
