Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to expertly cut, prepare, and merchandise meat products while upholding quality and safety standards. You will engage customers, support merchandising, and train/mentor apprentices. A fast-paced environment requires strong knife skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 14+ months of retail experience.
• Completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises beef, pork, lamb, veal, and poultry.
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven-ready, cured meats).
• Checks products against quality standards for freshness and safety.
• Maintains sampling program and monitors spoilage.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Assists in opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures accurate signage/pricing.
