Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to perform cutting, preparation, display, and selling of meat products in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires strong knife skills, knowledge of meat cuts, and a commitment to food safety and customer service. Training through the WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent is preferred, with the ability to work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat department operations and customer service.
• Completion of WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.
• Ability to handle knives safely and maintain clean meat displays.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises meat products per standards.
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, cured meats).
• Maintains quality standards and prevents spoilage.
• Provides excellent customer service and assists customers promptly.
• Reports safety hazards and follows health regulations.
