Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to perform cutting, preparation, display, and selling of meat products in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure quality and safety while delivering exceptional customer service and mentoring trainee cutters.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, adhering to Weights and Measures, and supporting store goals. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven-ready products, cured meats).
• Checks product to meet WFM quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors and assists in preventing spoilage.
• Mentors and supports Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
