Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to perform the cutting, preparation, display, and selling of meat products. The role emphasizes courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities include cutting, packaging, quality checks, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting trainees. The position requires adherence to health and safety regulations and a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training (UK exceptions may apply).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a cold environment.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven ready, cured meats).
• Checks product quality against WFM standards.
• Maintains sampling program and minimizes spoilage.
• Provides excellent customer service, answers phones, and uses suggestive selling.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties, and ensures correct pricing.
