Job summary

Jarrett Ford Automotive Group seeks an Automotive Service Advisor to serve as the primary contact for automotive service matters. The role emphasizes listening to customer problems, arranging appropriate service levels, and managing expectations with customers and technicians.

A strong mechanical aptitude and dealer/large facility experience are highly desirable. The ideal candidate holds an unrestricted driver’s license with a clean record, post-secondary automotive training, ASE certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary automotive training desirable.
• ASE certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• At least one year of dealer- or large-facility repair experience.
• Broad automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge.
• Verifiable customer service performance record and/or training.
• Unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
• Strong work ethic and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers in person or by phone to assess service needs.
• Coordinates prompt and accurate diagnosis of reported problems.
• Recommends best-value repairs based on problem type.
• Manages repair delivery and sets proper expectations.
• Maintains documentation: PO, invoices, work orders, reports.
• Enforces safety standards and handles inventory.
• Upholds a white-glove environment at the facility.
• Takes ownership for outstanding service levels.
