The Preconstruction Project Manager will drive the preconstruction process from 30% design turnover to construction-ready design and turnover to Operations, coordinating due diligence, engineering readiness, permitting, and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Commercial solar experience required.
• Five or more years of experience in preconstruction, project management, engineering coordination, construction management, or a related field required.
• Experience coordinating architects, engineering consultants, contractors, utilities, permitting authorities, and other external stakeholders required.
• Experience in energy services, design-build construction, renewable energy, mechanical/electrical systems, infrastructure, or a related industry required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction meetings with Development, Sales, external Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain the preconstruction schedule from 30% turnover through construction-ready design and turnover to Operations.
• Identify critical-path activities and escalate risks impacting cost, schedule, or client commitments.
• Coordinate with external engineering firms and ensure timely deliverables.
• Manage documentation including decisions, scope changes, and approvals for turnover to Operations.
• Monitor costs and maintain alignment with budgets; communicate variances to stakeholders.
