Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge design and construction across multiple US locations. The role requires collaboration with design, procurement and construction teams, extensive communication, and travel up to 50% of the time to client sites and offices across North America.

Responsibilities include bid package development, scheduling, 4-D modeling, risk management, and ensuring constructability and sequencing plans are aligned with budgets and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• 5+ years experience in managing construction projects related to industrial and/or commercial facilities
• Experience with 3D Modelling software
• Field Construction Experience on active construction projects
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Experience optimizing construction scheduling and sequencing
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of working time across North America
• Hybrid environment experience coordinating remote and in-person project meetings

Responsibilities

• Support the preconstruction team on tasks in preconstruction planning including bid package development, scheduling, estimating, modeling, and reporting
• Participate as a knowledge base for constructability and sequencing plans
• Drive collaboration between stakeholders
• Manage Client Interface and expectations
• Lead planning with design, procurement and construction teams for timely information flow
• Conduct constructability reviews during design phases
• Review modularization and off-site studies
• Support estimate and schedule development and opportunities for optimization
• Develop subcontracting and procurement strategies with teams
• Develop 4-D visualizations and site logistics plans
• Coordinate with safety, quality and project services groups
• Prepare Risk Registers and Mitigation Plans
• Foster client-contractor-stakeholder partnerships for timely issue resolution
