Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge design and construction for Data Center projects across the United States, with up to 50% travel. You will coordinate design, procurement and scheduling, develop 4-D visuals, and drive constructability reviews to optimize outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in a related field, 5+ years of construction management experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience in managing construction projects.
• Experience with 3D Modelling software.
• Field Construction Experience on active construction projects.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of working time.

Responsibilities

• Support the preconstruction team on bid package development, scheduling, estimating, BIM/VDC modeling, and reporting.
• Contribute to design constructability and sequencing plans.
• Drive collaboration among stakeholders and define client expectations.
• Lead planning efforts with design, procurement and construction teams to ensure timely information flow.
• Conduct constructability reviews across design phases to align resources.
• Review modularization and off-site manufacturing studies.
• Support estimate and schedule development and optimization opportunities.
• Develop subcontracting and procurement strategies with project teams.
• Develop 4-D visualizations and thorough site logistics plans.
• Coordinate safety, quality and project services to ensure planned execution.
• Maintain Risk Registers and Mitigation Plans.
• Foster client-contractor-stakeholder partnerships for timely issue resolution.
