Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge engineering design and construction. You will coordinate with design, procurement, scheduling and construction teams to ensure plans meet timelines and budgets, while mitigating risks across multiple locations in the U.S.

and potentially traveling up to 50% of the time. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Construction Management and 5+ years in industrial or commercial construction, with strong 3D modelling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent degree, or equivalent years of experience
• 5+ years experience managing construction projects in industrial/commercial facilities
• Experience with 3D Modelling software
• Field Construction experience on active projects
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Experience optimizing construction scheduling and sequencing
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America and work in a hybrid environment

Responsibilities

• Support the preconstruction team on bid package development, scheduling, estimating, VDC modeling, and reporting
• Contribute to design-constructability and sequencing plan
• Drive collaboration among stakeholders
• Manage client interface and expectations
• Lead planning efforts with design, procurement, and construction teams
• Conduct constructability reviews during design
• Review modularization and off-site manufacturing studies
• Develop subcontracting and procurement strategies
• Support development of 4-D visualizations
• Create site logistics plans
• Coordinate with safety, quality, and project services groups
• Prepare and maintain risk registers and mitigation plans
• Foster a cooperative relationship among client, contractor and stakeholders to resolve issues
