Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge design and construction for data center projects across North America. The role engages design, procurement and construction teams to plan, schedule, budget and mitigate risks from early design through construction.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years of construction project management experience, including 3D modelling and field construction exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience managing industrial or commercial construction projects
• Experience with 3D modelling software
• Field construction experience on active projects
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment across multiple time zones

Responsibilities

• Support preconstruction planning deliverables including bid packages, scheduling, estimating, and VDC modeling.
• Lead as a knowledge base for constructability and sequencing plans.
• Drive collaboration between design, procurement and construction teams.
• Develop risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Coordinate with Jacobs safety, quality, project services and technical groups to prep for construction.
