Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge design and construction on data center projects across North America, with up to 50% travel. The role collaborates with design, procurement and construction teams to develop schedules, estimates and constructability plans from early design through build.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years in industrial/commercial construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and experience with 3D modelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years experience in managing construction projects related to industrial/commercial facilities.
• Experience with 3D modelling software.
• Field construction experience on active projects.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Experience optimizing construction scheduling and sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Support the preconstruction team on planning deliverables including bid package development, scheduling, estimating, virtual design and construction modeling, and reporting.
• Lead planning with design, procurement and construction teams to ensure efficient and timely flow of information.
• Drive collaboration between stakeholders and manage client interface.
• Develop subcontracting and procurement strategies with construction management and procurement teams.
• Develop risk registers and mitigation plans and support constructability reviews across design phases.
