Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge engineering design and construction across multiple U.S. sites with up to 50% travel. The role coordinates with design, procurement and construction teams to ensure plans align with budgets and schedules.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years in industrial/commercial construction. Expect hybrid work and opportunities across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent.
• 5+ years in managing construction projects (industrial/commercial).
• Experience with 3D modelling software.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of time.
• Hybrid work environment support.

Responsibilities

• Support the preconstruction team on tasks including bid package development, scheduling, estimating, VDC modeling, and reporting.
• Participate as a knowledge base for constructability and sequencing plans.
• Drive collaboration between stakeholders and manage client interface.
• Lead planning efforts with design, procurement and construction teams for timely information flow.
• Develop and review risk registers and mitigation plans.
