Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Preconstruction Manager in the North America Design & Construction organization. This role acts as the owner's representative during the preconstruction phase, overseeing site selection, design, permitting, and contract execution for Amazon’s industrial facilities.

You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to define scope, budget, and schedule, while leading planning, design, and preconstruction projects across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience from design through implementation, including contracts.
• Experience with packaging, processing, or logistical facilities with complex equipment.
• Position includes travel up to 60% (Nationwide). Travel involves air travel to regional airports and driving to site locations.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Lead site selection and validation, scope development, and design management per Amazon's standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent large industrial projects across various locations and drive timely decisions to keep projects on track.
• Assess project performance via KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability.
