Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) NA Design & Construction team is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to act as the owner's representative during the preconstruction phase of facility delivery. You will lead cross-functional preconstruction projects for fulfillment centers, sortation centers, and delivery stations across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience spanning design phase through implementation and operation.
• Travel up to 60% of the time; relocation assistance may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cross-functional pre-construction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Entitlements, Construction, Finance, Launch/Startup, architects, engineers, permitting agencies, developers, and landlords.
• Lead site selection, validation, scope development, and design management aligning with Amazon standards.
• Own comprehensive budget tracking, schedule management, and cashflow forecasting across projects.
• Coordinate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction for permitting, zoning, fire and building code compliance.
• Prepare and present project status and risk reports for leadership.
