Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services NA Design & Construction seeks a Preconstruction Manager to act as the owner's representative during preconstruction for facility delivery. You will lead cross-functional teams from site selection and design management through permitting and contract execution across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of construction or project management, or 3+ years of relevant discipline work experience.
• Ability to travel up to 60% within assigned regions.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cross-functional industrial pre-construction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Entitlements, Construction, Finance, Launch/Startup, architects, engineers, permitting agencies, developers, and landlords to secure resources and drive delivery.
• Lead site selection and validation, scope development, and design management with design teams to meet Amazon's standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent large industrial projects across locations.
• Perform conceptual estimating and pricing reviews; negotiate costs with developers, general contractors, and design consultants.
• Own budget tracking, schedule management, and cashflow forecasting across projects.
