Job summary

Amazon Global Engineering Services seeks a Preconstruction Manager to lead complex industrial preconstruction projects across the assigned region. You will manage site selection, design management, permitting, and contract execution while coordinating with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Finance, and Construction teams.

You will own scope, budget, and schedule, ensure timely permits, and deliver a clean hand-off to Construction. Travel up to 60% and relocation support may be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience spanning design through operation.
• Experience with packaging, processing, or logistics facilities is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% within the region.

Responsibilities

• Manage cross-functional pre-construction projects from site selection through permitting and contract execution.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Entitlements, Construction, Finance, and external stakeholders.
• Lead site selection, validation, scope development, and design management.
• Own budget tracking, schedule management, and cashflow forecasting.
• Coordinate AHJ permitting, zoning, and building code approvals.
• Prepare project status and risk reports for leadership.
