Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking a Tool & Die Technician to support a metal stamping operation. You will fabricate fixtures, sharpen tools, set up lathes and milling machinery, and read blueprints to build gauges, dies and tooling to specification.

The role requires at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, proficiency with AutoCAD, and the ability to interpret complex drawings. This on-site position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within the tooling

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as Tool & Die Technician in a manufacturing environment.
Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
High School diploma or equivalent; Trade school certificate preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with EDM machinery is preferred.

Responsibilities

Sharpen cutting tools for lathe operations.
Turn material to specified diameter on lathe and mill.
Machine internal and external threads and cut angles on lathe/mill.
Read blueprints, design and maintain gauges, dies and tooling.
Inspect, troubleshoot and repair tooling, dies and equipment; calibrate and run machines.
