Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Screed Operator to join our North America team. You will operate the screed on the rear of the paving machine, and you’ll set the depth and width of asphalt as it’s laid.

You’ll shovel asphalt into hard-to-reach areas, ensure specifications are met, and deliver excellent internal customer service while following safety and environmental requirements. Two years of asphalt crew experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to work as part of a team are required;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years related experience on an asphalt crew.
• Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, good physical fitness, balance, and teamwork.
• Adhere to safety protocols and proper PPE use, including respirators.

Responsibilities

• Set the depth and width of the asphalt as it is laid by the paving machine.
• Shovel asphalt into holes and areas inaccessible to the machine.
• Provide excellent internal customer service and meet safety standards.
• Follow all safety, compliance and environmental requirements.
