Amrize, a leading construction materials provider in the United States, invites applications for a Screed Operator in our Asphalt division. The role involves setting up and operating the screed to achieve precise grades, slopes, and mat thickness on highway and commercial projects.

You will coordinate with the paving crew, monitor flow and temperature, and uphold safety and quality standards on site. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–3 years of screed experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt screeds.
• Must be able to travel daily and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate asphalt screeds for proper grade and mat thickness.
• Read project plans and layout markings to ensure precise paving results.
• Monitor asphalt flow, temperature, and material distribution for quality.
• Coordinate with paver, roller, and lute operators to maintain workflow.
• Identify and correct surface irregularities and perform routine inspections.
• Adhere to safety regulations, traffic control plans, and job site protocols.
• Maintain clean work areas and support paving crew for efficiency.
• Promote health, safety, and environmental policies on site.
