Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Screed Operator to control the depth and width of asphalt as laid by the paving machine. You will shovel asphalt into difficult-to-reach areas and ensure safety and quality on each paving run.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience on an asphalt crew, with strong dexterity, balance, and teamwork. Amrize offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years related experience on an asphalt crew.
• Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, good physical fitness, a good sense of balance, and an ability to work as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Sets depth and width of asphalt as laid by the paving machine.
• Shovels asphalt into holes in the surface and/or areas where the paving machine cannot access.
• Provides excellent internal customer service. Exceeds internal customers’ expectations of services.
• Follows all safety, compliance and environmental requirements in alignment with company standards.
• Performs related work as assigned.
