Job summary

Walman Optical is seeking a Production Technician to set up, operate and maintain lab equipment in the production area. You will interpret Rx work orders, perform lens inspection with Lensometer, and help manage supplies and calibration records.

The role requires 3+ years in a lab setting, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and strong multitasking and math skills in a fast-paced environment. Safety compliance and teamwork are essential.

• Strong basic math skills.
• Excellent manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and perform basic maintenance of lab equipment in the designated area.
• Use Lensometer for lens inspection per basic power requirements.
• Troubleshoot production problems and advise supervisor on remedies.
• Maintain inventory of shop supplies and calibration logs.
• Train less experienced colleagues and provide guidance as needed.
