Job summary

Walman Optical in Minnesota is seeking an Associate Technician for full-time work in a lab setting. You will set up and operate production equipment, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth lens production.

The role requires reading Rx work tickets and maintaining clean, organized work areas. The position emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and teamwork to meet daily production goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to multi-task, orientation to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic high school level math skills required.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform various tasks of area production machine functions.
• Interpretation of Rx work ticket.
• Perform production operations on specified equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform basic/routine maintenance of assigned equipment.
• Troubleshoot mal-functioning equipment and advise supervisor on remedies.
• Prepare solutions or slurry mixtures for lens production process as applicable.
• Calibrate equipment daily/weekly per supervisor guidance.
• Maintain a neat, clean, organized work area and follow safety rules.
