Job summary

Cogent Biosciences is seeking a Precision Medicine Executive to join the Customer Engagement team as we prepare for our first product launch. The PME will embed Cogent within key healthcare systems and lead regional diagnostic initiatives and KOL management.

The ideal candidate has deep clinical and customer knowledge, strong engagement with HCPs, and experience launching products in pharma/biotech. Travel will be frequent.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or healthcare equivalent degree required.
• Minimum 8+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech/medical experience with understanding of the healthcare landscape.
• Minimum 5+ years in specialty/rare disease (Hematology/Oncology preferred).
• Proven ability to access and influence C/D-Suite level customers.
• Collaborative and organizationally savvy team player in a matrixed setting.
• Strong negotiation, partnering and influencing skills; manage external partnerships.
• Experience with large accounts/hospitals; navigate complexities to advance objectives.
• Successful product launch experience; prior pharma/biotech startup/diagnostic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Cogent stakeholders to align and execute strategies to advance business objectives.
• Partner with external HCP stakeholders across US to ensure access to Cogent treatments post-FDA approval.
• Identify, profile, cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with KOLs.
• Plan and execute KOL engagements at conferences; POAs; field visits in a compliant manner.
• Prioritize novel programming and venues where Cogent should invest.
• Develop environment prioritizing patient, caregiver, and HCP experience.
• Embed PME in target systems delivering value and differentiating Cogent.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute cross-functional business plans.
• Develop and maintain all account/contact details in CRM; ensure budgets/schedules meet requirements.
• Incorporate regulatory/compliance into daily activities.
