BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department team member to handle cutting, wrapping and merchandising of fresh and prepared meats. The role includes assisting Members with questions, preparing special cuts, and ensuring accurate labeling and compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship is required.
• Previous meat cutting experience is required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members by making recommendations and answering questions about meat, poultry and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards; weighs, wraps and labels products.
• Maintains proper meat case displays and inventory levels to ensure freshness and assortment.
• Inspects deliveries and ensures all meat products meet quality standards.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards in the meat department.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
