Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a motivated Meat Department Team Member to support daily operations, assist members, and ensure the freshest, best‑priced meats is on display. You’ll rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandize meats, poultry, and seafood while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

This role requires completion of a training program or apprenticeship and meat cutting experience. You will follow company standards, help maintain inventory, stock cases, and provide friendly, helpful

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by making recommendations and answering questions about meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weights, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Ensures the meat case showcases all currently available products.
• Maintains appropriate inventory levels in the meat department.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department.
