Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to join our world-class team in the store. You will receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, including special cuts ordered by Members.

You will help maintain sanitation, safety, and stock levels in the meat department. The role requires prior meat cutting experience or completion of a training program, plus the ability to operate wrapping machines and meet attendance expectations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by making recommendations and answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is required.
