Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to prepare, cut, wrap, label and merchandize fresh and processed meats, ensuring quality and safety standards. You will assist Members with recommendations and maintain stock and cleanliness in a fast-paced department.

The role requires prior meat cutting experience, completion of a training program, and ability to operate wrapping machines. 18+ years of age.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program or apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood and makes recommendations.
• Cuts, weighs, wraps, and labels meat, poultry, and seafood to company standards.
• Maintains meat department sanitation, stock levels, and proper display of products.
• Rotates products according to expiration dates and follows disposal guidelines for damaged items.
• Ensures a safe, efficient, and clean department environment.
