Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department team member to receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandize fresh and processed meats, including special cuts for Members. You’ll help maintain sanitation, assist in deli areas, and ensure compliance with club policies while upholding Gold Club standards.

The role requires previous meat cutting experience and a training/apprenticeship. Familiarity with wrapping machines is preferred, and you must be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship is required.
• Previous meat cutting experience is required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Members and answer questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepare special cuts of meat as ordered by Members.
• Cut, grind, wrap and label meat according to company standards.
• Ensure meat department meets sanitation and safety standards.
• Maintain inventory and ensure all cases are stocked and rotated.
