Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a machine operator/Machinist.
• 2+ years reading and interpreting blueprints.
• 1+ years operating King-style boring mills and/or vertical turning lathes (VTLs).
• Ability to use gauges and precision measuring tools safely and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Performs set ups of large Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump components and operations of large Vertical & Horizontal Lathes used to repair and overhaul Large Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps & Compressors.
• Interprets blueprints/drawings to determine critical dimensions and read micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators and other precision test equipment.
• Maintain tight tolerances as low as .0005" as required by specifications or drawings.
• Selects appropriate cutting tools and determines speeds and feeds for a proper surface finish.
• Overtime may be required, including weekends.
• Operates forklift and overhead crane; adheres to EH&S & QMS processes.
• Lifts and rigs heavy components; assists in disassembly/reassembly and rebuilding of pumps.
• Opportunities to cross-train in Fabrication, Assembly, Rotor Balancing, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
