Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose and repair automotive systems, perform maintenance, and ensure quality work on vehicles. The role emphasizes safe operations, strong communication with customers, and adherence to VIP processes and state regulations.

You will handle service orders, parts requests, and follow the 5-for-5 engagement process. ASE certifications are encouraged, with ongoing training to maintain safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Read, interpret technical instructions, manuals, and procedures.
• Explain vehicle information clearly to customers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive problems.
• Ability to perform listed automotive services as described.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety policies are followed and unsafe conditions are reported.
• Provide diagnosis, repair, and maintenance across ASE areas A1–A8.
• Initiate a Service Work Order prior to service and display it with the vehicle.
• Complete MPI and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
• Return all required prints and vehicle keys to the Service Desk after service.
• Obtain needed parts via the Desk Team and return unused parts.
