Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose, repair, and service automotive systems, ensuring quality work on first attempt.

You will follow VIP safety policies, manage service work orders, and coordinate with desk staff for parts while maintaining productivity and completing required training. Responsibilities include safe vehicle handling, return of cores and used tires to designated areas, and adherence to state regulations.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in automotive service field.
• Two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Current, valid driver's license; ASE G1, A4, A5 certifications; State Inspection License.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety is Priority #1 and follow safety policies.
• Provide automotive diagnostics, repair and maintenance services per ASE coverage.
• Ensure a valid Service Work Order is initiated and displayed with the vehicle.
• Complete required LMS and safety trainings; participate in 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
• Obtain needed parts from Desk Team and return unused parts to desk after service.
• Maintain minimum productivity targets (Technician 80%, ASE 90%, Master 100%).
• Follow VIP quality service standards and complete required trainings.
